A copy of Time Out London’s Banksy Edition publication landed on the doorstep of Kulture Online HQ earlier this week. The magazine was approached allegedly by Banksy himself to produce the cover of the magazine – no doubt to promote his new film (*cough*sellout*cough*).
Inside the pages is an interview with Banksy which is a great read, however it is fairly unrevealing, as you’d expect from the man of mystery. The interviewer questions Banksy on a range of topics from his newly released film to his recent clashes with Robbo.
The article is certainly a good read so if you are able to get your hands on it, read it in the shop, as the rest of the magazine is just standard Time Out London.

LukeDaDuke has produced an image which is synonymous with recent stencil street art and is particularly well known to his flickr followers. For those who don’t know his work, LukeDaDuke’s dog soon becomes a friend which they are likely to see on walls across many European cities. LukeDaDuke has been kind enough to answer a few questions for us.

Taking a totally different slant on street art is uk based artist Gorm, his pieces have included piles of ice, the use of snails, and more frequently sugar cement and tape drawings. Each in themselves are peculiar yet have a unique charm to them, down to the way that they have been executed by Gorm.
My personal favourites of his studies being the tape drawings, this is due to the carefully considered placement of the designs on the pavement aswell as on rock face to create an image that is as equally confusing as they are charming.
Check out some of the photos below, and give his flickr a visit.

Check out this amazing speed painting, one of a series of paintings from illustrator Dan Kitchner. Completed in under an hour, the pieces encompass the theme of the painting well, relating the suggestion of movement with the visible brush strokes and emphasised detail on certain aspects.

Some of us contemplate organising our very own an art show, others prefer to spectate, but for Alice Burns Aka Dogtired she has just pulled off the organisation of her second, IYTI (It’s Yours, Take It!) show in Belfast. The show featured no less than 100 pieces, submitted from various artists all over the world, with one main concept, that their pieces were free to the public. Check out the interview with Dogtired below, gain some inspiration and get planning!

When Essex based Matt Gowler ain’t trolling the Internet, producing minimal electro or time travelling, he is designing and producing his art work. Matt has his style down to a tee, retaining the basic sketch elements in many of his characters and design, emphasising the character. I have turned to Matt in the past, seeking advice on all aspects of design, and i feel its time that he got some coverage.
Check the interview out below.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I frequent Pahnl’s flickr photostream, updating myself on what his characters have been getting themselves into! If its not dogs chasing bones, then its men buffing out art. The UK based street artist has firmly established himself into the scene, amongst the larger characters, with his rather minute characters. Popping up in well thought out locations on the street, making their mark with simple actions and expressions.
Check out the interview with the artist himself below.
